About: Jean Chateau
- Jean Chateau is an economist at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in the Environment Directorate. Specialized in CGE modeling, he is working extensively on economic aspects of climate change and environmental issues. His work at the OECD has included modelling work in the preparation of two major OECD reports/books the “2008 OECD Environmental Outlook” and “The economics of climate change mitigation”. He holds a Phd in economics from the University of Paris-I Pantheon Sorbonne. Prior to joining the OECD, he was an economist at the Centre d’Etude Prospectives et d’Informations Internationales where he was specialized in the economics of Ageing and retirement, and was building macro-models to study these issues.
