About: Florence Colleoni
- Florence Colleoni has graduated in geophysics in 2006 and received a joint Ph.D. from Grenoble University (LGGE) and Stockholm University (Dpt. of Geosciences) in 2009 in paleoclimate modelling. Since 2009, she is working at the Centro Euro-Mediterraneo per i Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC) in Bologna. Her main research interests are focused on the paleoclimate processes, in particular of the glaciations at millenium scale. She is currently modelling the glacial inceptions and the associated climatic feedbacks using the Earth System Model of NCAR (CCSM4). She is involved in the European project FP7 ice2sea in G. Spada WP focusing on the modelling of sea-level changes due to glacio-isostatic adjustment resulting from the melting of the continental ice sheets.
